Guidlines for Safe Operation and Energy Savings
1st Step: Air Conditioner Selection
The right selection of an air conditioner should include:
-
The required capacity in BTU/h (or Watt) regarding the room. An air conditioner must cover totally the needs of a particular place. If the capacity is lower than the required, it will consume more energy to cover the room. Find easily the air conditioner you want with the Inventor BTU calculator

2nd Step: Indications & Temperatures
Heating Operation – Winter Suggested temperature range 19°C – 22°C. For great energy savings set the preferred room temperature up to 12°C higher that the external temperature.
Cooling Operation – Summer Suggested temperature range 26°C – 29°C For great energy savings set the preferred room temperature up to 12°C lower that the external temperature
Preferred room temperature
Activate/ Deactivate
Dehumidification operation Suggested temperature range 16°C – 30°C. If the room temperature is 2°C lower than the preferred temperature, the compressor and the external fan will stop their operation, while the internal fan will operate in a low frequency. If the room temperature has a ± 2°C deviation from the preferred temperature, the air conditioner will operate in a dehumidification mode. If the room temperature is 2°C higher that the preferred temperature, the air conditioner operates in a cooling mode. The fan speed doesn’t change in the Dehumidification mode.
3rd Step: Remote Control Functions
- ΟΝ/OFF Activate (ON) and Deactivate (OFF) the unit
- +/- Sets the preferred room temperature
- MODE Select: AUTO (Sets automatically the operation regarding the external conditions), COOLING (COOL), DEHUMIDIFICATION (DRY), FAN (FAN), HEATING (HEAT)
- SWING Sets the louvers’ angle for the best air circulation inside the room. Tip: In winter set the louver so that they “look” down, while in summer the louver should be set to “look” high.
- Health / Air Function Activate (ON) and Deactivate (OFF) the Ionizer Cold Plasma
- TEMP Shows the Preferred temperature/ Room Temperature/ External temperature
- CLOCK Hour Setting
- TURBO Turbo mode for faster setting of the preferred temperature
- FAN Sets the speed of the internal fan: AUTO (automatically), LOW (low), MEDIUM (medium), HIGH (high)
- I FEEL The air conditioner sets the room temperature regarding the position of the remote control.
- SLEEP With the SLEEP mode, the air conditioner saves energy increasing gradually (summer) or decreasing gradually (winter) the room temperature, offering ideal conditions during your sleep.
- TIMER ON Activate Timer (ΟΝ) and achieve energy savings by activating the unit whenever you need it.
- TIMER OFF Deactivate Timer (OFF) and deactivate the unit whenever you need.
- BLOW / X-FAN After the unit deactivation, the internal fan operates for 10 more minutes, preventing any mold and bacteria formation, keeping the unit clean.
- LIGHT Activates and deactivates the display lighting of the unit.
4th Step: Maintenance
All the air conditioning systems must be maintained by specialized technicians at least 1 time per year. The technician checks and cleans the system ensuring for its appropriate operation.
There are some simple steps and processes in order to do it by you own:
- Check that your air conditioner works properly before the high or low temperature seasons. In periods of extreme outdoor temperatures the technician will not easily visit you. Suggested periods to control your unit are the beginning of autumn and spring.
- Clean often the air filters of the indoor unit. Depending on the operation hours you may have to clean it once a month.
- Check that the remote control’s batteries have been charged. If your air conditioner doesn’t operate for large period of time, remove the batteries to prevent any leakage. For even greater savings, unplug the air conditioner in periods that you don’t use the unit.
- Check that the outdoor unit has no any obstacles in its surrounding in order to ensure its appropriate air circulation.
- For high energy savings, keep always the windows and the doors close.
- Read always the user’s manual of your air conditioner in order to know how it operated. Find all our manuals in our Media Library.
